Pakistani medical delegation to learn dengue treatment here

A 110-member Pakistani medical delegation, comprising entomologists, experts, doctors, nurses and officers, would arrive in Sri Lanka next Monday (12) for training on the treatment and eradication of dengue, a Health Ministry official said.

Pakistan Environment Secretary Saleem Sajjad Hotiyana will lead the delegation. The doctors and nurses in the delegation would undergo training at various hospitals and medical institutions.

They would be provided training in disease surveillance, vector surveillance and control and patient management.

The official said that the delegation would pass on their training, on their return to Pakistan, to other medical experts, entomologists and other concerned persons for eradication of dengue. (MM)
