Government Nursing Officers Association (GNOA) announced island wide continuous strike would be launched if Circular on nurses demands is not issued before 9th.
President of the Nurses Association Saman Ratnapriya mentioned several rounds of discussions were held with health authorities regarding the demands associated to nurses' profession, but no solution has been granted so far.
However, some nurses associations recently cancelled trade union action which had already scheduled for.
